“I find it hard to explain what I'm painting or why, and actually I don't see any reason to analyze or justify my work. However, I like enigmas – they seem so boundless as long as they are unsolved.”
Peter Gric was born in Brno (Czech Republic). Already in his early childhood his parents recognized and supported his talent for drawing and painting. In 1988 Peter came to Vienna and started to study at the Academy of Fine Arts in the master class of Prof. Arik Brauer.
During his studies Peter Gric participated in numerous group exhibitions and his creations began to attract collectors.
Peter’s paintings are part of numerous private and public collections such as the Austrian State Gallery Oberes Belvedere in Vienna, the Municipal Gallery in Traun (Austria), the Künstlerhaus of Munich (Germany), the Artfantastica Collection in Vienna, the Art Visionary Collection in Melbourne (Australia), the Trierenberg Art in Traun (Austria) and many more.
